Grr.
What I said to Comcast:

"
My internet has been nearly unusable due to constant modem T3 timeouts
and restarts from about 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. for the past week. I cannot
count on being online for longer than 5 minutes at a time. A previous
support call and technician stopped the problem for a month, but now it
has begun again.
I have a wireless network, but the problem continues even if I plug a
laptop directly into the modem.
"

Second paragraph of their response:

"
If you are using any additional networking hardware to connect your
computer to the modem, remove that equipment and connect the computer
directly to the modem and see if the connectivity issue still occurs. If
you no longer experience connectivity issue, the problem is with the
networking equipment, and you will need to contact the hardware
manufacturer.
"

The paragraph after that sends me to a website that asks me to configure my DHCP connections. Because yeah, I would have said my net was working if my DHCP was wrong.

THANKS FOR READING MY EMAIL, MOTHERFUCKERS.

...yeah, they're getting a call tomorrow.

Do you have any lawyer friends handy? Because nothing says "I love you" like the implicit threat of legal action.

A flying car, a fur coat, and a planet full of Comcast executives being trampled by unicorns.

Yeah, I never bother emailing them because they wont DO anything unless you're yelling at them on the phone. I hate that their level of customer service/satisfaction forces me to become one of those horrible people I despised while working retail/food service

I can (kind of) sympathize with it, because they probably do get a ton of complaints of the "wait, my modem has to be plugged in for me to use it?" variety.

But still, this is just blatant.

It might be an auto response form email and not typed/read by a human at all.
